Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses PostcardsEmperor Qin Shihuang's Mausoleum is located in Lintong County, 35km east of the city of Xi'an. Three large burial pits with various characteristics were found east of the mausoleum. It is estimated that 8,000 terracotta warriors and horses would be unearthed from the pits. To protect these treasures, the Museum of Qin Shihuang's Terracotta Warriors and Horses was built. The terracotta army is large in scale and full of power, there, it is honored as "the 8th Wonder of the World". Two sets of large painted bronze chariots and horses were unearthed west of the mound of Emperor Qin Shihuang's Mausoleum. They enjoy the fame of "the Champion of Bronze" for their magnificent modelling and sophisticated technology. ![]() ![]()
