Buildings in Beijing
There were so many interesting buildings in Beijing. Unfortunately
we only saw most of them as we were traveling from one place to
another and I was madly shooting through the windows on the bus.
It was frustrating. These were the best of the lot and will give
you only a tiny idea of the variety of architecture to be found in
Beijing. Also unfortunately, I have no idea what most of them are.
I've identified the ones I know.
I have to begin by saying that all over Beijing there are trees and
landscaping. But it's not only planting so many plants, it's the
attention to detail and design. This is only one example of the
designs to be found all over Beijing. It's not just a simple hedge
down the center of the road, but an entire pattern. And a different
pattern on the next road. Even on the superhighways that are elevated.
I don't know how or when someone gets up there to plant all of those
flowers along the sides of the roads, but there they are!
