| Caption | On one of the first sledging missions of Robert Scott’s 1902 expedition, George Vince lost his footing and plunged from the cliffs into the sea. These cliffs were subsequently named Danger Slopes. Vince’s body was never found and his shipmates erected this cross in his memory. |
